How do I add a new bill?

Tap the "+" button on the Bills tab. Enter your bill details including name, amount, due date, and payment status. You can also set up recurring bills that automatically create entries for future months.

How do I enable notifications for bill reminders?

Go to Settings → Notifications → Enable Bill Reminders. You'll be prompted to allow notifications on your device. Once enabled, you'll receive reminders 3 days and 1 day before bills are due, as well as on the due date.

How do I enable App Lock for security?

Go to Settings → Security → Enable App Lock. You can choose to protect your financial data with Face ID, Touch ID, or a 4-digit PIN. The app will lock automatically when you leave it.

Is my financial data safe and private?

Absolutely! All your data is stored locally on your device and never sent to external servers. We don't collect, track, or share any of your information. When App Lock is enabled, your data is protected by biometric authentication or PIN.

What's the difference between free and Pro?

The free version lets you track up to 20 bills. BillSense Pro unlocks unlimited bills, advanced insights with charts and analytics, full history access, multiple currency support, data export, and more customization options.

How do I restore my Pro subscription?

Go to Settings → BillSense Pro → Tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription will be verified with Apple and restored automatically if you've previously purchased it with your Apple ID.

Can I sync my data across devices?

Currently, BillSense stores data locally on your device for maximum privacy and security. If you use iCloud Backup on your device, your BillSense data will be included in your device backups and can be restored when setting up a new device.

How do I export my data?

Pro users can export their data to CSV format. Go to Settings → Data → Export Data. You can then open the CSV file in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → BillSense Pro → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain Pro features until the end of your billing period.

The app isn't sending me notifications. What should I do?

First, check that notifications are enabled in BillSense (Settings → Notifications). Then verify that BillSense has notification permissions in iOS Settings → Notifications → BillSense. Also ensure Focus mode or Do Not Disturb isn't blocking notifications.

How do I create recurring bills?

When adding or editing a bill, toggle on "Recurring Bill". This will automatically create the same bill in future months. You can stop or modify recurring bills at any time.

Can I change the currency?

Pro users can access 175+ world currencies. Go to Settings → Currency → Select your preferred currency. All amounts in the app will be displayed with your chosen currency symbol.

Troubleshooting

The app is running slowly

Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If you have a very large number of bills (500+), performance may be affected. Consider archiving old bills you no longer need.

Face ID isn't working

Ensure Face ID is enabled in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode, and that BillSense has permission to use it. You can also use your PIN as a backup unlocking method.

I lost my data after reinstalling

BillSense data is stored locally. If you didn't back up your device before reinstalling, the data cannot be recovered. We recommend regular iCloud or iTunes backups to prevent data loss.
